My philanthropic work supporting domestic violence survivors in Nigeria is inspired by the servitude and generosity of my father, Daniel “Orimili” Obiekwe. My father taught me, through his actions, to always put the livelihood, circumstances, and needs of my family and my broader community first.
His words, “How can I have, if my people don't have?” are a reminder that no matter how far we go when we leave home, we must always remember our people back home. Our success is their success.
